Measuring your body for competition bikinis
There are a few measurements you need to take into account when measuring your body for competition bikinis. To establish where you fit on the size guide the most important measurement is to measure around your hips, this is the area where your hips are the widest (hip bone to hip bone). Take a measuring tape and wrap it all the way around your hips ideally where your high waisted briefs would sit comfortably – if you are in between sizes then choose the size that you feel will suit you come competition day. You can also take a second measurement – measure around the widest part of your glutes to the pubic bone. This will help give a better fit for your briefs as you may have a tiny waist but a juicy bottom!! – therefore you could be between sizes. You can input both measurements within the custom bikini process.
How to measure for your competition bikini briefs
NOTE : DON’T HOLD THE TAPE TO TIGHT –
If you are more than 4 weeks out from your show date and on course to drop more body fat around the hip area then go for the smaller size. However if you are pretty lean already then go for your current fit. If you have chosen briefs with connectors these come with an extra inch that is folded over at the seams hidden within the inside of the bikini. This means that if you need to make the bikini bigger then it will be possible to make alterations, any sewing or alterations shop can do this easily for less than £10. Please not if you order briefs with no connectors then you WILL NOT have an extra inch to play with as these are made differently, so make sure to order your correct size.
*Please note that if you need your bikini re-altered, this amendment is at your own cost as all measurements are finally once order is placed. *

Choosing your brief coverage
Brief coverage is mostly down to personal preference and depending on the competitor will determine the style of briefs chosen. However some federations such as UKBFF/BNBF will require you to have 50% off your glute area covered, if this is your chosen federation then I recommend you go for the high waist or low waist briefs. These brief offer the most coverage whilst still showing off the area well.
What is the difference with high and low waist briefs?
They both offer 50% coverage on the glute area; however the high waist briefs aim to lengthen the legs as the fabric pulls over the hipbones create a V like shape. The V shape helps to create an illusion of a smaller waist (hello, yes please).
Low waist briefs are a little different as they aim to lengthen the abdominal area as the fabric sits straight along the hipbone, making sure as much abdominal area is on show as possible. Got good abs ? Then these briefs are for you!!
What are Pro cut briefs?
Pro cut briefs have more glute area on show this can help emphasis the size and shape of this particular area as more definition can be witnessed. This style of briefs are worn by confident competitors and pro athletes. These briefs can also come with and without connectors now picture still to be uploaded!
What are Thong briefs?
Thong briefs are popular amongst athletic and toned fitness competitors within federations such as PCA and NABBA. This is because much more muscle can be seen due to the full glute area being on show. The thong style of briefs have everything on show no sagging or imperfections can be hidden. However please note bikini athletes cannot wear these briefs as thongs are not permitted within this category.
How to choose my Bra Size?
Choosing your bra size can be a daunting thought! But do not worry there’s a few tips and trick that can help you decide your best size for show day.
Below is the Bra size guide for our bra styles, please follow the measurement guide against your personal measurements for best fit.
The first measurement you take is left to right horizontally. Then the second measurement you take is vertically, up and down the breast. When taking both these measurements always cross the measuring tape at the highest point of the breast, the nipple. This should give you an accurate measurement.
The Triangle Bra
This style of bra is ideal for everyone as the fabric sits flat to the breast. Which helps minimise gapping between the breast and the bikini. Whats great about this bikini top is the adjustable straps this helps to boost the breast were needed. Furthermore this style comes with removing padding and allows room for extra padding to be inserted for that extra boost! Just add these to your order.

The wired bra
This wired bra has the most support as it works to push everything you have up to the front! Whether you have implants or natural breast the wired bra is great to keep everything in place. The wired bra comes with a push up effect to create a fuller breast structure to emphasise the cleavage. This style is one of the most popular bras in bikini fitness due to its ability to create symmetry across the breasts. Competitors who still have a good amount of breast tissue are best suited to the push up bikini.
We now stock three different shapes in this bra to make sure all competitors can choose this style and not worry about gapping !! The A and B cups have no padding – but don’t freet ladies this is much better as build in padding just creates a massive gap with girls who have little breast tissue. The better thing to do is place removable padding into your bikini ( which will be cut to your personal measurements). We also stock extra push up and extreme push up bras feel free to email us your progress pics for extra assistance.

The moulded bra
This style of bra is ideal for smaller A/B cup girls as the bra sits flat to the chest with minimal gapping. Which is ideal for girls with smaller breast when doing side poses and quarter turns. For girls with smaller cup sizes the moulded bra gives a moderate push that prevents gapping. This style also creates a good symmetrical look on stage. The key benefits of this style is the no gaps!!
*Please note we do not sell this style of bra to cup sizes C or above. This is because the breast wont have enough room to move ands will start to hang out the sides/bottom.* However if you have implants this will be ok as the boobies will sit up.
